I have just been on the net, and came across the BBC NEWS site, which related to an article about a compound found in red wine that prevents the spread of herpes.

It also went on to say,that when put on infectious sores it can stop the chance of passing it on, and could even lesson sores developing fully.

The compound is called STIL 5 and it says tests showed that it stopped the infection in 99.9% of cases.

The sad part that i read was they tested 53 people who were posotive for HSV2, and not one of them people were aware they had herpes:(
