Quick Question to everyone

Question:
I have been with my girlfriend for almost two years now. About a week into our relationship she informed me that she had gential herpes and told me how she had contracted the disease. I was extremely supporting and to this day I am still with her.

We have always used a condom when having sex. Around May 20th I had my first herpes outbreak. Thus far I have learned to cope with it. However it wasn't until last week did my girlfriend finally reveal how she truly contracted genital herpes. We talked alot about this issue, and it has been resolved.

My question to you all is, the location of her outbreaks is always on the inner labia, so much that you have to move them to see the blisters. She is telling me that she had used a condom with the person who had given her the herpes. Is it possible to get herpes that far in the labia, even with a condom?

I know that condoms arent 100% bc of the base of the penis issue, but then wouldnt she have gotten it on the outter labia rather than the inner?

Thankyou very much

Answer:
My first thought is ... fluid transfer... that would explain why it went inside rather than the logical outside of the vaginal opening. Having sex is rather messy you know? lol Sorry I know it's a serious question but, it makes sense to me. Most of the sexual lubrication is on the inside... get me? Just my pennies worth.

Answer:
Once you have genital herpes the ob's can happen pretty much anywhere in the "boxer shorts area".

Yes they often show up in the same place but they can show up in other area's as well. Or they can completely move to a new area.

It's all about the nervous system and the virus uses it to travel around so could show up pretty much anywhere in the "general area" of the infection.

There are any number of reasons it could be there but it could all come down to microscopic tears that can happen during intercourse, perhaps there wasn't sufficient lubrication etc.

Answer:
Why is this an important question for you, and why don't you believe her?
