Burning sensation remedy.
Question: I've had a burning sensation for about 3 weeks now. I just want to get everyone's input as far as what they do for the burning. I do not have any itching.. Just a burning sensation.. Thanks! Answer: I guess no one experiencing this OR has any suggestions??????? Answer: i saw your post, but have no experienced the burning sensation, except when peeing when i had my ob, and do not really have any remedy to offer. i am new at this and i apologize. i thought, for sure, you would have received responses from our "seasoned" members. sorry...... Answer: cluelesswendy, Is the burning sensation surface (like, when you pee or wipe) or does it feel deep (which could be the virus lingering in the nerve cells--it can give weird sensations)? I, too, am new at this and have only had one ob but afterwards, for maybe a week, I had weird tingling/prickly/tender sensations. Doc said I was still contagious as long as that was going on. I would see a doctor about the burning if it's surface. Maybe there's a topical cream you could try. I've heard on this site that as long as you don't have sores that haven't crusted, you can use A & D ointment. I LOVE Aveeno bath powder--always have. The doctor gave me lidocaine ointment to use during the ob. I don't think it helped much, but if you have any of that, it's obviously safe to try. I wouldn't use anything with Hydrocortizone in it, unless your doctor approves. That can exacerbate herpes for a number of reasons. I would check any Vagisil or equiv. products if you're using them to make sure it doesn't have it. If it only hurts when you pee, try squirting water over the area as you're going...then gently pat dry or use the hair dryer, if possible (on low heat, obviously). I hope this helps. I, too, read your post yesterday and was surprised when no one answered. This virus is just a mystery how it affects every person so differently. You've almost GOT to respect its' genious! Answer: Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. My burning sensation is on the inside. I can actually see "raw"-reddish spots where it burns. I don't know if that's an actual ob or if it's "symptoms". This is so tricky. I don't think I should apply anything internally. I have not yet been diagnosed.. but I think it's pretty certain that I do indeed have this MF. UGH. *sigh* Answer: If you have the lidocaine, it is safe to use as long as you don't insert it far into the vagina. That might numb things up awhile. I am hesitant to tell you anything else about the inside area--when do you go back to your doctor? Answer: I went back to my doc's office today.. but only to get another blood test for herpes. I did not have an appointment to have an exam or anything. I am just watching my symptoms and taking this day by day. Thanks for your suggestion, Susan. =) Answer: I too have a burning, with little bumps, blisters, that wont go away, was wondering if you or anyone else found out anything about a good topical for this? Had an outbreak and took valtrex for a week, the ob was gone in a few days, but not the bumps, redness, irritation, somewhat itchy and burning sensations for months now. Also take L-lysine pills, and applied lanacane which only gives temporary relief. Anyone ever take dynamiclear or any other topical balms? acyclovir? they all claim to do wonders, but wondering what might be best to take if any, before spending the money?? help.. thanks in advance Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
