I've decided to give Herplex a try, its homeopathic, based on an herb called poke weed. hahaha
I totally went off the Valtrex because I hate feeling like I'm living in slow motion with a mentally retarded view of the world. It really made me drowsy and mechanically impaired, not to mention unable to sleep at night cause I was sleeping half the day too. Not good. I feel much better and I haven't had an outbreak from not taking it, yet. It's only been about 4 days so I'll see how I do taking my own daily dose of Herplex, even though it's not recommended for daily therapy, only for outbreaks. I figure better safe on a small dose than nothing at all between ob's.
I'll let ya'll know how this experiment works out! :cool:

I bought some Herplex from Wal-Mart but have not started taking them yet, can you tell me how yours is doing. Sorry to say but I went back on the Valtrex because it wasn't working for me. It may work for some people but in my case it won't. So I really can't tell you if it did any good or not. I suppose it couldn't hurt to use it to help boost your immunity but it really doesn't do anything more unless you have an extremely mild case, I think.
