So i went to the doc today to get valtrex that treats every outbreak instead of taking the pill everyday. She said that it is the same pill but you just take it twice a day for three days at first sign of ob. Is this true or is there a totally different type of valtrex?

all true. only one valtrex, several ways & dosages depending on the usage...

If you have insurance, it's usually cheaper to ask for the rx to be written as a once a day x 30 days (i.e std suppressive rx), and just use them as needed, cause usually you pay a copay per prescription (and get 30 pills for the same price as 6...). Plus then you could use the coupon available on the V website.
