Dymnaclear
Question: It's claims seem lofty and fantasy..... is this stuff real, cuz I don't see anything official about this stuff... just marketing sites. Answer: If you are thinking of trying Dynamiclear - read my comments carefully. I've tried the Dynamiclear and what I found is that if you have an ob with blisters/ulcers/lesions or sores you wait until they are clearly at their peak and apply the Dynamiclear solution. It will work for prodome or itch but I don't think it is as effective this way as it will be if used on actual sores. The idea is to apply it to a wound with active virus so the medication can be absorbed into the skin and hopefully follows the nerve path to kill as much active virus as possible. Do not apply it too heavily the first time. I dampen a q-tip swab with water, squeeze out the excess, and add 2-3 drops of the Dynamiclear solution and this is plenty. If you are sensitive start with 1-2 drops apply and wait 10 minutes to see if it stings at all (the sensation comes on slowly). If it doesn't sting you are not using enough to be effective. Let the sore heal up and do not pick or scratch the scabs. You may notice that the scabs will take on a bluish hue from the Dynamiclear. One application of Dynamiclear should help the sores to dry up and start to heal more quickly and should help to reduce future break-outs in that area. The hard part is getting through the initial application discomfort. The worst part for me was the burn. I had a stinging sensation at the site of application for about 30 minutes which was very uncomfortable. I found that running the hair dryer on cool onto the site helped with this. I would not slather this stuff on liberally. Once that burn went away the ob was painfree from there on out. I was skeptical about this product and I hated the burning sensation but instead of having pain at the site of the ob for days it went away when the burning sensation subsided. 30 minutes of awful burning sensation vs. days of tenderness and pain. Don't be in a hurry the first time you use it. Take your time to find out how many drops you need. It is important to apply it to maybe just one sore the first time and give yourself the time to see if it is having the initial telltale sting. Don't make the mistake I did and expect an instant sensation because it builds slowly I applied a little too much and boy did it sting. With time I learned to use less and wait. Answer: I have used this stuff (back when it was called Choraphor...when and why did the the name change??) and I love it. I can't use suppressive meds, as I have weird side effects from them. So this was a nice alternative. It does sting, but I have been using things like hydrogen peroxide to clean the lesions before, and that can sting too, so I found this to not be much worse. To me, I envision the stinging sensation as a cleaning tool, ridding the sore of the virus and helping the healing process. Rather than week/weeks long outbreaks...I have 1 to 4 days of an outbreak. (depending on how quickly I get the stuff on the sores.) So for me, it really does seem to work. Might be worth a try. Answer: It's claims seem lofty and fantasy..... is this stuff real, cuz I don't see anything official about this stuff... just marketing sites. ask the company for the double blind studies conducted on this product, you will not get any and there will not be any as this product like most products applied topically to herpes legions are snake oil. They claim the product kills the virus present and each time it is applied in the future it kills more virus, thus eliminating much of the virus and reducing future frequency and intensity. The virus is never eliminated and continues to replicate so killing it is ridiculous, it can only be supressed by either your immune system or drugs, not some topical agent. If you are going to spend money, do it on trying to supress the virus, either with drugs of vitamins, etc. Unfortunately I tried this product before actually researching it or the HSV virus and in my opinion it is a total waste of time and money! Of course with any product, you can get a placebo effect, that is why they do double blind tests. Answer: I just used it for the first time at my last OB. My OBs aren't bad, but they're uncomfortable, and this one happened to be in a really obnoxious spot. I ordered it when i started the OB, so by the time i applied it I was a little beyond the best point to apply, but it definitely helped. I had been using hydrogen peroxide, and i agree with Ouch, it feels a lot like that sting, but hydrogen peroxide doesn't help too terribly much or for too long. I didn't feel the dynamiclear set in a while later like Caliope, my sting was instant and gone completely within about 5 min. After that, i completely forgot i had an OB. I didn't feel it again at all, and i wasn't even terribly tempted to look and see if it had gone... i just couldn't feel it at all. I'm definitely going to try it again. Answer: I haven't gotten an official diagnosis yet but hey, sure looks like its GHS. I saw the Dynamiclear product and purchased it just to get some relief. I applied it at night like they recommend. The burning sensation lasted over a half hour which was much longer than they indicated (5-7 minutes). I woke up the next morning and my vaginal area was obviously a little swollen. It's been almost 48 hours now and no obvious scabs are forming and I'm still experiencing the discomfort of itch and irritation from the OB. I've never been allergic to sulfur products anywhere else on my body so I didn't do a skin test first. The label on the bottle calls it an antiseptic not an anti-viral but I read on another website that alcohol is an anti-viral. I think if I'm going to go through all that agony with the burn I'll use the alcohol that costs a fraction of the price without the swelling. The burning sensation doesn't last nearly as long either. Am I wrong or is this forum sponsored by the makers of Dynamiclear? Answer: Am I wrong or is this forum sponsored by the makers of Dynamiclear? Dynamiclear is one of the companies that sponsor our forum. They help to keep this site 100% free for our members. However, we do like to promote their products where we can because from our experience they tend to work quite well and the quality and support from the company has always been excellent. If you have questions about the application, it is a good idea to contact the company directly for support - their customer service may be able to help you further. Hope this helps, Shenda Answer: To anyone using Dynamiclear - I found that I could stop the burning sensation caused by the application of the Dynamiclear by getting my hair dryer and putting it on cool and directing it at the ob. Answer: I love this forum and I applaud Dynamaclear/Choraphor for their support. However, I can't recommend the product. It's not much more than Copper Sulfate which is available at your local ACE hardware store for about $5/lb. - it's used to kill roots in your plumbing. To be fair, I have used the product with some success, but I find that $20 worth of liquid licorice root and tea tree oil are much more effective at stopping and healing an outbreak than a $100 bottle of Dynamaclear. That, and your $20 will go much futher. Additionally, I believe they changed their name due to the negative feedback of their products.
