Imulux
Question: Has anyone else read up on this or heard anything positive from it? http://www.imulux.com/ Answer: It has been proven that ultra violet light kills the herpes virus in test tube experiments, however because the virus hides deep within your body, specifically within the ganglion of your central nervous system, the light from this device will not be able to reach the virus to kill it. It is possible it can help outbreaks heal faster though by killing the virus on surface contact but I very much doubt it can do more than that. Answer: I'll read a bit more about it, i've seen device similar to this being advertised before, very very similar to this. All based on ultra violet light. Answer: Does this device claim to cure herpes or just treate it? I read the section on there site about the science behind it, but the site does not clearly state if this is a cure or just a treatment. Answer: it says no more outbreaks ever.... and i could live with that :p I might have to buy it in the next few months just to see il post my findings here. Answer: http://imulux.googlepages.com/ This page debunks the imulux product, however bear in mind that there is as much miss information on the net as there is fact and the marketing budget of pharmaceudical companies ranges into the billions as some forum members have stated. i always find the best way to know for sure is to give it a try. Answer: Is it only an ultra violet light? Could you buy any ultra violet light and try this treatment or is their application gel imperative. Has anyone tried this method? Answer: Yep theres some sort of gel as well, from what i've seen. To be honest guys this site does look pretty sketchy, its worth a try so see if it has any treatment benefits but I'm pretty sure its not a cure. Answer: Has anyone else read up on this or heard anything positive from it? http://www.imulux.com/ Roger, We long ago dealt quite forcefully with this marketing scam. (See this section’s thread titled “Is Imulux a permanent cure for herpes?” ) Fortunately, some posters here are actually academically and clinically credentialed in science and have actually conducted peer reviewed scientific research for major American laboratories. It takes us about .7 seconds of reading that site to detect the fraud---vs. some decidedly loquacious others with only proclivities for gravitating obsessively to hosts of intellectually benign websites, pseudo science and “experts”, and pasting urls ad infinitum that have proliferated on the net to capture any foolishly available dollars. The supposed President  of Imulux posted here and I admit to having great fun skewering his facade. Too much really, which I hope you'll pardon. Among other things, they are trying to appear to be the IOM or Institute of Medicine, which is a very highly reputed medical thinktank in the US, by calling themselves the “Institute of Progressive Medicine”. Anyway, it’s old stuff. And I’m even assuming you aren’t an Imulux promoter. :wink:They DO circle back after laying low for a while. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
