I was wondering..is it possible to spread herpes to yourself? I get ocassional cold sores on my lips, only one and normally not more than once per year. If I happened to accidentally touch the sore on my lip and then touch my genitals, could I give myself genital herpes?

That's weird...I've never heard of that happening to anyone. I know you can give other people genital herpes if you engage in oral sex while having a cold sore, but I didn't know you could transfer it to yourself.
