Shaving/waxing
Question: What do you gals do as far as shaving or waxing down there? I usually trim first, with scissors and then shave. BUT I am just afraid that I might get cuts and make it easier for an ob. Also, if I use scissors, how to properly kill the virus. Do I soak them in hydrogen peroxide, bleach,???? Thanks. Answer: well shaving, hasnt caused me any issues. i have a few at home wax kits that i use, that hasnt caused any issues either- its a bitch but gets the job done waxing from a profes- havent dont that since first outbreak. unless its bush like, i dont trim, just go at it a few times over w/ a new blade. if you are using the sissors, make sure they are the kind that come apart, kind of like kitchen sheers, its alot easier to disinfect them this way> and yes just soak in some water w/ bleach. Answer: Well, I haven't touch it in over a month.. She's a bit bush-like. Moreso than I've let her get since the first time I shaved. I think I might get some cheap scissors and use them, then throw them away. I would be afraid to use them again. Thanks for replying, btw. =0) Answer: no prob- dont get them to cheap, you dont want to sit there for 20 min trying to cut the same area lol. hair, wont spread herpes, so its ok to reuse, just clean them up and youll be fine Answer: it causes me outbreaks, because i get symptoms under where the hair i am shaving is so that stinks but oh well. For some it doesnt bother them, but some it does.......i just trim it with scissors now and shave the bikini line and that has been all I can do. The bikinin line area has only gotten really bad symptoms after I shaved there one time. I used to shave most of the hair, but since getting this crap its never been possible since. I hope for you it is fine and doesnt bother you at all. Answer: phew. no issues from shaving yet. Answer: I am afraid to shave cause when I do, I usually get little cuts all over the place. Maybe I will just trim and shave a little and see what happens. I am sooo not used to all that hair down there.. It's driving me crazy. Oh well. Answer: I, too, was nervous about shaving but I can't go to the beach with hair sticking out of my bikini bottoms, so I decided to try Nair. I don't shave completely, just clean up the landing strip, so to speak, and the Nair just made the skin a little pinkish and slightly itchy. I think thats more because I have sensitive skin, tho. I just patted some gold bond powder on the area and the next morning it was fine. I may be getting laser hair removal down there soon and I will try to find this thread after and repost what the results are. If you dip the scissors in rubbing alcohol or bleach it will kill any bacteria or viral germs and I seriously doubt you'd be shedding virus through your hair anyway. Answer: nair- ahhhhhhhhhhh that stuff is a killer. i rem it burning any place i used it(even though i left it on less then 4 min), then smelling like raspberry ass for a week. i used it on my bikini line before, it works but to me was the same as shaving to me, grew back just as fast. i was always to scared it would do some horrible stuff if it ever got to close to the opening.
