Hi, I have a friend whom i care about and would like to take things further in our realtionship she has HSIV2 i think i really dont know but she told me she has herpes and i was just wondering what can i do to protect myself and what are my chances of actually getting it?? please help me

Answer:
There's lots more experiences memebers who could probably advise you better...but in short not having sex during or just after an outbreak (2 weeks I beleive), using a condom and dental dam always and not having any direct genital to genital contact.

Why not both of you go to a STD clinic together to see if they can advise?

Also think about getting yourself tested as you may have it already...
