:grin: A lovely member on here led me to looking futher into alkaline versus acid levels in our body.

I began researching this alot and highly recommend everyone look into it, even if you do not suffer from OBs all the time, I believe that alkaline levels is the answer to ALL our health problems!!!

My friend in USA uses Alkazone - drops that you can put into your water to make your water more alkaline (he does not suffer H but often uses food as his medicine) In NZ I went to my store and asked about alkaline drops and they dont have them BUT they have BARLEY GRASS LEAF POWDER (or capsules) and this does the very same thing.

I have just started taking it today. I would like to find some litmus paper to test my alkaline levels but have no idea where to get it from. The lady that sold me the powder swears by it as she has a more acidic body and when she doesnt have the Barley Grass she gets sick again.

From all my research I believe it is the answer to stopping H altogether. The reason is: when you increase your alkaline intake to 80% and acidic intake to only 20% this is your ultimate healthiest, when your alkaline levels increase your body can fight off more diseases and when it is higher it can even kill off cancer cells (this is what I understood from the website)

Sorry my thread may sound all confusing, feel free to ask me any questions at all :) Im just excited that this may get rid of my H altogether, even if the doctors think it is still in my stupid spinal fluid!

It does get rid of all your outbreaks. You quite simply stop outbreaking. And if you ever feel a tingle down below that's your warning sign you're off balnce and can retify it immediately. Not only that you're going to live a long and healthy life.

So if we can eliminate outbreads it makes sense that we drastically reduce or eliminate shedding. Unless you suscribe to the 'scare tactics' employed by the professionals that 'boy we can't ever control the shedding'. If this were so my soon to be ex husband would have been infected already and both my kids because they love to play hide and seek under my shirt. I'd prefer to agree with the commonsense notion like that quoted from the above metioned site as opposed to some helter skelter idea put forward by the authorities which more or less defines us as social lepers or pariahs best to be kept at arms distance cause one just never knows when we're going to explode silently ...

But any way ,controlling herpes outbreaks naturally is already half the battle. And would be very encouraging when you have to do the talk. ' Honey, the risk of you contracting herpes from me is almost minimal ' I 'd prefer to do that kind of talk rather than coming forward with a whole ton of pamflets which just scares the living daylights out of any one. If a man came to me today (and asuming I was free and available and loved him) and said 'hey Christy I've got something to tell you. I've got herpes.' I think us sufferers have a responsibility first to ourselves to live outbreak free. Then to a partner. And there is none of us with herpes who isn't bothered about pasing it on. So if we can mimize (or eliminate ) the risk of passing it one through eliminating our outbreaks naturally ( and well getting healthy), resulting in reducing or eliminating shedding well, what have we to lose?

Negan, you're acountable here sweetie. I agree I wouldn't call it a cure because certainly when you stop being healthy you're going to get them again. But I wouldn't call herpes herpes either. I'd call it a fucked up immune system disorder which causes breakout, on your face, on your back, on your innner thighs on your genitals. And baby if you don't take care of your health your body is just gonna let you know - one way or another.

But hey Gutted, isn't it a liberation to have uninhibited sex and not be guilty about it?

My natural doctor is all about alkalizing the body. She gave me some good tips to get your body going. To alkalize she said you can drink water with lemon and lime squeezed into it. Or raw, unfiltered organic apple cider vinegar is great for alkalizing as well. You can drink a glass of water with a teaspoon of it every day to help. Just some things that I've done to keep myself alkaline...

As I mentioned thats what I understood from what I read as for Cancer cells when your body reaches a certain Alkaline state it can get rid of cancer cells, then once they are gone you bring your body back to a healthy alkaline state and maintain health. In theory if it works for cancer why wouldnt it work for H? (I did say that MAYBE a cure! lol :))

I think what people have an objection to is the use of the word cure. As opposed to saying a natural way to eliminate oubreaks. But perhaps it can be a cure who knows. What we need to do is get a group of people test for herpes. Then put them all on an alkalizing diet for a while (their lifetimes perhaps) test them tweny years later on and see whether they show up positve. There was a time I even went to my doctor to get him to run a test to prove whether I was still positve. I just didn't have any signs of it. He convinced me otherwise that this is forever. Still Negan we may be onto something. How's the research coming along?
