My bf and I just got tested and it turns out he has oral and genital herpes and I have neither. He has had it for more than 20 years without any symptoms. I just started birth control and I really want to be able to kiss him and enjoy sex without condoms, but I don't want to get herpes. What can we do?

But in any case to keep yourself safe as possible make sure he/you check himself out and pay attention to how he feels. pay attention to the warning signs. also always were condoms. inform yourselves on living a healthy life with a good diet. I have heard of people even wearing boxers during sex but i wouldnt be able to do that.

Before he started dating me he was in a monogamous relationship for over 20 years. She was tested and clean early in their relationship but he was never tested, so presumably he got it before their relationship started.

And I'd like to reiterate that I really want to be able to kiss him. Sex aside, is there any safe way to kiss someone with oral herpes?
