I am fairly new to this whole herpes thing, so this question may be stupid to some, will u contract herpes without using a condom? What if you want to have children? Help!:confused:

Answer:
Condoms can reduce your chances of acquiring herpes but are not 100% effective.
If your partner has genital herpes & you want to get pregnant you can be inseminated with his sperm by a doctor. Or you may choose to take the risk and do it the natural way. I wouldn't recommend doing this unless your partner is on suppressive therapy. Even then, its a big risk to take.

I have HSV2 and my man does'nt have either type.I'm on suppressive therapy and we don't use condoms.I have explained everything to him and he is "somewhat" ok with it.He doesnt like condoms anyway.He is still negative for HSV.I plan on having a child in the next year or so and we will be doing it the traditional way.;)
