how to ease the burn

Question:
I'm on my first ob since diagnosed. How do I ease the burn? I can't pee in the toilet. I have to sit in my bathtub with the shower coming down on my vagina. Is there anything otc that I can buy to stop the burning and that I can be normally?

Also, I'm on acyclovir which is helping the infection but makes me nauseated, feverish (I think from the infection) and my legs tingle. I can deal with the fever and the tingling in my legs but I just started a new job where I'm at a desk all day. What can I do to help the nausea?

Answer:
if you turn that shower- into a bath it will feel a lot better.

Answer:
thanks. i have tried that. i guess the shower is more of me sitting in the tub and the water on top of me instead of in front of me. i was told by a few that i could use a water bottle and spray it when i pee but that doesnt seem to work very well. it still burns and stings. :-(

Answer:
you can also spray dermablast or something similar (topical painkiller) all over you down there. It will temporarily help dull the pain, maybe enough so you can go when you don't have access to a shower/bath. If you can't find Dermablast, you can also look for sprays to relieve sunburn pain or poison ivy pain; the main ingredient will end in -caine.

Some people find cola (doesn't matter if it's Coke/Pepsi/etc) or ginger (tea, etc) help with nausea. Even though it may be hard cause you really don't want to pee, drinking lots of water will help reduce side effects from acyclovir (the fever is most likely the herpes though).

Good luck, and based on experience, the horrible pain while going to the bathroom will go away soon...

Answer:
I found that if I held some wet toilet paper over the blisters I could pee without discomfort. I peed all over my hand but I didn't really care LOL!!

Answer:
I was just diagnosed and I've actually done that. It helps ALOT. And feels alot better.

Answer:
With my first (only one so far) ob I was in so much pain when I would try to pee so my dr gave me some lidocain to help numb the area so I could go. It helped out allot, I would also suggest using the wet toilet paper to cover the blisters like previously suggested that seems to help me as well.

Answer:
Have you tried leaning forward while you pee ? Lean just enough so that you think youre going to fall off but actually dont. The shower and bath thing are good ideas too but what will you do while youre at work or in public ? Just try different positions depending on where the blisters or lesions are so that the pee wont get on them and cause you discomfort.

Hello,

I'm a guy, but I think a lot of what I have written about will help you at my personal, free, informative blog - www.ultimateherpescure.com. The secrets are a low acid diet (TUMS and Tagamet HB are great), liquid licorice root, and tea tree oil. I don't know how these things will work internally on the vag, but externally they are heaven.
Please let me know if they help.

Good luck,
Herpescure
