Expert herpes advice needed!!

Question:
Hi, first of all, sorry if this maybe in wrong section.

For the last 3 days, I've been experiencing a burning/stinging sensation in my left thigh, near my genital region. There have been no rashes or marks, no bumps, no swelling. I've been feeling not that well since thursday (2 days before burning pains). I have seen 2 doctors who have inspected my groin and thigh who both advised this does sound like genital herpes or how is behaves.

6 weeks ago, I recieved oral sex and have always had protective sex. I'm 24male btw. I'm very afraid this could be genital herpes because i'm not too sure what else could cause this pain? Only genital herpes comes to mind.

Can someone please answer these questions for me:
a) Is outbreak likely to occur 6 weeks post possible exposure?
b) Does herpes only burn when you have an visible outbreak?

2 doctors so far and both have not felt the need to test. Should I seek a third opinion or should I give this time to go away? I might also add I don't appear to be itchy, just feel like i'm sunburt there.

Thanks.
J.

Answer:
might add that it was unprotective oral sex :(

Answer:
Did the person who gave you oral sex have a coldsore at the time?

If this is the case the chances are you got HSV-1. HSV-1 is used to ocurring on the mouth and you will likely get minor outbreaks on your genital area. Thats the good news I guess.

You can get a blood test to find out if it is HSV-1 or HSV-2(traditionally genital herpes).

My advice is that you keep your immune system high with vitamins & zinc and take some anti-virals, the first few days of infection are vital. Don't wait for the test as this could take up too a week.

Wipe out as much of the virus as you can before it settles in your gangelion.
