I just got done having the talk with my boyfriend. He accepted me and he is being very supportive and still wants to have sex with me. I told him that i never get ob's cause i didn't! I did the first year or two but after that barely ever and nothing that was a sore. So now go figure, i start feeling like a throbing pain down there and the day after sure enough I have an ob. And I didn't realize till after we messed around a bit. nothing oral just hands. So now i'm worried if he got it on his hand, and i don't know why i got an ob. I never got them. I was under tons and tons of stress but the ob came like a week after all the stress. What caused it?? I'm upset because even though my bf knows i have H he doesn't think it really effects me. How to i get this cleared up asap without taking valtrex. I don't have money for prescriptions. Help please :confused:

since you were under tons of stress I am sure that is what caused it...........especially the week before an outbreak is very typical..........the stress lowered your immune system and then a few days later it was more susceptible. When your immune system is weak the virus takes advantage of it and travels the nerves and is on the skin and shedding BEFORE you visibly see or feel the outbreak which would be perfect timing for a week after being very stressed out. Also, the stress of telling a new partner, having him accept you and then a little worry about the idea you told him you ont get outbreaks might have affected you subconsciously and caused an outbreak.
