my outbreaks don't hurt???
Question: Most everything that i've read says that outbreaks are painfull but mine aren't, there is absolutly no pain at all. Is this normal for some people or am I just very lucky? This is my first post so i'll introduce myself too. I'm Kevin. Had my first outbreak 2 or 3 years ago, a small bump on my penis that turned into a huge red mess over the course of a week. Doctor wasn't sure what it was and just gave me a huge penacillin shot. Didn't have any outbreaks for a year after that. But then I had 15 in the next year. Argggggg. I've been taking 1000mg of lysine per day for 5 months now and have only had 2 outbreaks so hopefully the worst is behind me. Answer: There is no pain whatsoever with mine either. It is all cosmetic, so to speak. I may be wrong (because I usually am) but I think for us males it is a *bit* easier sometimes than for women with it - but I don't mind if that is challenged by anyone. I take Lysine only during OB's and I think it helps reduce the severity and duration in my case. Of course, we're all different with these things. I truly think the worst is behind you, though. Answer: Mine only hurt once. To date, I have had a primary, one recurrence, and on and off itching/redness. I was infected Nov 06. I think it only hurts if the virus replicates a whole bunch. If it just replicates a little, you may just get red and peely skin. Answer: My outbreaks don't hurt either, even though i have had many huge outbreaks which is weird. I also don't get any predromes either which also seems weird. I have tried some of the internet remedies but nothing has helped. I started drinking a lot of green tea which did seem to helped. i am looking at some other treatments right now and i will let you all know what i find. Cheers!
