Sex when we're both infected

Question:
seems somewhere i read about the possibility of reinfecting one another or something similar, but now i can't find anything about that. my question is, other than passing the virus on to another part of the body, is there any reason two infected people should worry about condoms during regular sex? it's a pain enough to deal with the virus, if we don't have to worry about that on top of it, it would be a relief.

Answer:
c'mon, somebody's gotta know. you can't all be dating uninfected people...

Answer:
hey,
i felt bad for you because nobody has replied so i thought i'd give you my opinion i'm not with someone that is in infected but i think if you are both infected with the SAME type e.g you both have type 2 then it might be O.K to have sex without condoms HOWEVER you might want to make sure that either of you do not have any other std's and this is the main reason you should stick to condoms, another is pregenancy. also, having an outbreak and having sex may not be a good idea as herpes sores can spread and having it spread to your eye is bad! i'm not a medical no all but i think i am right about this, still you should ask your doctor!
