Ease the pain?
Question: So I am a female experiencing my first ob and OUCH! It's probably one of the most painful things I've ever had to deal with... and I have a decently high pain tolerance. Does anyone know of anything topical that can be applied to ease the pain? At least slightly without irritation? Also, I have heard that the first ob is typically the worst... Is this true? Just trying to learn as much as possible since this is all so new to me. Any insight at all would really be appreciated!! Answer: Welcome! I am 6 months into this virus and on my 3rd ob. The first was so painful I could not believe it. I had 4 natural child births and never experienced pain then, like I did with my first ob. Take Aleve or ibuprofen religiously. Try some cool compresses, or a cool bath. It will get better. You will find all kinds of recommendations and support here! Answer: Thanks! I'll try those things out. I think I'm on the up-swing because I'm feeling a lot better today! Answer: ooo ooo i have a good one!!!! its Aveeno oatmeal bath (you can get at wal mart or something in the neosporin <--sp? isle). THE ONLY THING THAT HELPED during my first outbreak! I remember sitting in the tub for 3 hours with it because i didnt want to get out.. that how much relief i had with it after many many hours of pain. it took 3 days for me to be able to walk anyway out of my apartment and probably about 3 weeks to be fully healed from the 1st breakout. i went a yr with maybe 4 breakouts total and now in my second yr im getting them more often.. i def think diet and exercise has a lot to do with breakouts. stay healthy! Answer: my dr gave me lidocaine to put on it- my first ob was so bad i couldn't urinate. ask your dr it really helped me. Answer: The first outbreak is definitely the worst!!! (well it was in my case) I was almost hospitalized but instead my doctor just gave me a lot of vikodin!! That help me a lot! Answer: They say your first one is the worst. I am not sure and my first one was fucking horrible excuse my lango, BUT mine since I got this little friend has just been horrible in general. But the first one can actually also last a long time too. I know mine did. I had NO idea what it was when I had my first OB. I went through the first 2 weeks with pillows between my knees to stop the pain rolled up in bed most of the time. The best advice for someone with no meds is to take care of yourself. Make sure you wear a jacket out when it's even a little cold because now the common cold can cause you problems. Also keep clean as best you can. Loose clothes help too. You also want to eat healthy if you didn't before. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
