Question:
STORY- I just found out that I had herpes about 2 weeks ago. The doctor started me on Valtrex. I dont have insurance so it is kinda hard for me to go to the doc. I contracted herpes fron the guy I am dating. We have been dating since the third of sept. My OB was horrible!! It mostly itched and I had 2 bumps and i felt sick felt sick. Im sure it could have been worse.

SITUATION- I love to have sex. It is a big part of my life. Since my first OB we have had sex 2 times. The first time my bumps were gone but still a little itchy. It sucked after- it burned and itched sooo bad. The itch was still there the second time but very very mild. That was two days ago and let me tell you I want to just die right now. I am burning and itching sooo bad. Like a yeast infection. It also feels like we had all night sex and it was pretty guick. I had to tell him to hurry cause I started to hurt.

QUESTION- Is my sex life over?? Will it hurt and itch every time?? Is this normal??? Does it happen to anyone else out there?? Any advise on how to stop the itching or how to prevent this and still have sex??? Also, I was thinking that maybe it is a yeast infection on top of my herpes. Should I suck up the $ and go to the doc on this?? I want to have a half way normal sex life!!!

Well, I had many of the same symptoms of a yeast infection right before my first outbreak started. When the Monistat didn't work I found out that I also had a bacterial infection, so the doc gave me some antibiotics. It might be something like that, I understand how horrible the itching and pain is. Sometimes I feel like I just want to scream. I also haven't had sex yet since being diagnosed, so I can't help much on that. It just might be some other simple infection you could get cleared up post haste.

I was diagnosed with herpes in August 04 and have had ob's every month since and my boyfriend and I have had sex maybe once a month. The first time after getting the results i felt really uncomfortable, and wanted to avoid it.*Sorry if im a little bold*when he first puts the tip of his penis in it burns and feels like something is scraping the inside of my vagina, but after he gets it all the way in and loosens me up it feels like its supposed to.But I would recommend to use alot of lube. I usually wait until I cant see anything out of the ordinary down there and you feel your body is well than RIDE ON SISTER!!!!!
