Question:
I was dignosed with hsv1 and hsv2 about 6 weeks ago. when I started the itch from hell about 4 months ago I have been having troubles with my bowels...sorry to sound gross but my stoll have gooten extreamly loose and shready.. I went through an out break that lasted for 6 weeks with a constant sore stomach and on and off diareaha. did a stool sample this week and waiting for the results has any one else had this type of problem assiossaited with herpes .

yeah mine was JUST like that. i was never diagnosed with anything though because my initial OB cleared up before i could get in to see a doc...still havnt had a recurrence yet either. but a few days following my initial i had diarreah for 3 weeks straight! my stomach was hurting like hell too so i went to see a doctor and he told me i had a stomach ulcer...which i dont know if that is true or not...he was just guessing. but the nurse did mention a stool sample but never took one. now i am curious about that; be sure and let me know how your results turn out. they did take blood though and told me i have graves disease! a thyroid disorder...that is crazy. i am falling apart.

well, I honslty do not understand this one bit. it will be almost 1 year from the date of the itch from hell happening. it took from july to the first of nov to find out they though it was herpes 1 and 2 at least that is what 3 blood test says. out of 350 days I would say that maybe only 20-30 days have been itch free.I have been on and off valtrex have had 2 rounds of metro gel and 7 days of flagel oraly 1500 mg a day for 7 days and nothing has seemed to clear this up. I recently have been using a cream thats a a desentising cream think the name is zolanic something like that and that worked for a few days, but I have this heavy discharge and think that is what is causeing the itch.sorry to be so graphic here but I need to find someone else that this is happening to.I have never had an actual outbreak with sores but I do get little I mean little white bumps and have noticed that is whenthe itching is more intense, which I guess is an out break I have no idea anymore. the itch is mostly through the back of the inner thighs were the perinieam is the travels up to the front. I have an apt with a dermotoligst on the 22nd of aug first apt I could get have been to the gyno 3 times and he said he doesnt even think it it is herpes says you can have a cross reactivy in the blood to produce a postive result. so he got my hopes up but all I want is to feel normal down there again. I never feel normal either the itch the dischage ot tingling. I am 42 and my doc said it must have been lying dormant in my system for years but out of the 13 years that I went back with partners they are all negitive including my x husband of 8 years . so I am taking it if it is dormant it must not be contagious. what I want to know know that its woken up and reared its ugly head how do you get it back to sleep,cause let me tell you this is no way to live,constanly scratching 24 hours a day. I dont even sleep well because of scratching in the middle of the night.
my first blood test came back with number of 4.74 for 1 and 9.32 for 2 the second test was 5.0 for 1 and 9.74 for 2 when I went for the thrid test talked to the technician and she said with numbers like that you would be in constant outbreak,so is the itching my outbreak on the third which was a western blot the didnt send numbers back the first 2 were herpes selcet. has this hapoen to anyone else.
