Does having your period make a difference?

Question:
Being new to the virus I have lots of questions. I just had my period yesterday and I am currently going through my first ob. I obviously do not want tol use a tampon so I have to use a pad correct? But it seems as if this would make it worse too because it is keeping that area warm and wet and seems like it is only a breeding ground for my sores to become worse! What can I do to make my first ob which is already extremly painful, less painful because of my period? Thank you so much for your support! I just got it confirmed yesterday that it is herpes and I need all the advice I can get on how to deal with it.

Answer:
you probably are done with your period by now, but for future reference i guess... Do you have sores on the inside? if you do, then i would say that you shouldnt use a tampon. But, otherwise i tagree that i pad would not only hurt you, but it would keep the sores moist and they would take longer to heal. The safest way though, would be to call your gyno or local clinic and ask them to make sure.

Answer:
I've been breaking out any time my hormones change. So, not only when I have a period, but when I ovulate, or after the period ends. I use a tampon and try to keep it very dry. I'm trying a new (to me) supplement called, Virox, which I seem to be having luck with. (Knock on wood). I've started my period and haven't had an OB. Last month when I had an OB, I took the Virox and it seemed to stop it right away. You might want to try that.
