Love after H
Question: Hi All! It's been a while since I've posted... I would just like to say thanks to everyone on this site for your great support, and for sharing your stories. I SO wish this site was here when I was first diagnosed! Anyway, I've learned alot here. Just wanted to announce my upcoming WEDDING!! :D As some of you know, I've been dating a wonderful non-H man since last year. He's actually the one that brought me to this site as he stumbled across it in his search to learn more about H. He's been so supportive and accepting. And as far as we know, is still non-H. We both sincerely hope that others don't let their fear of rejection keep them from finding love. It is out there, and if you're really meant to be together, Herpes will not be a big issue. Don't Settle!!! Answer: Congratulations!!!!! I am also with someone who has no H... Umm I have H1. Can I ask what you have? And if you have H1, how do you prevent your partner from getting it? Answer: I wasn't educated enough at the time of being diagnosed to find out if mine is type 1 or 2... (you probably already know that you can have either type in either location)... but mine is genital H. I listen very carefully to my body and we don't even mess around if I'm experiencing any type of symptoms. We don't use condoms, but we are careful to not uh..expose any unnecessary body parts to possible infection. (no oral, etc.) This is what works for us. I don't want to discourage others from participating in that, everyone needs to figure out what is going to work for themselves and their partner... and this is what we are comfortable with. It's been over a year, and he hasn't experienced any symptoms. :D Answer: I just wanted to say congrats, i'm also with a non-H man, and we've been together 1.5 years and I know this is forever. Oddly enough, my man also brought me to this site. I just want this to be a sign to all others that getting H is not the end of your life, its the beginning of a new path, withnew choices. You make your life what it is, this disease does not make you! Congrats once more! All the best! LLTJ Very well put LLTJ,BUT it's only the beginning of a new path, you have to want to follow it and see where it leads, usually only to better things! So Cindy, the big day is coming up soon , is it not? Answer: Hi All! It's been a while since I've posted...
