cant take it anymore

Question:
I had my first outbreak in oct. 04 It was a bad one and I had sores in both vaginal and anal area. I was given meds and the sores in my vaginal area were gone in about 2 weeks but the sores on my anus did not go away. It has been 4 months now and they are still very painful. I know this is going to sound gross but I can not be the only person dealing with this. The sores try to heal but every time I have a bowel movement they reopen and bleed. It hurts like crazy and I dont know what to do bcuz I cant stop a natural thing long enough for them to heal. Please if anyone is going through this or has Please tell me what to do to get rid of these sores. This is soo depressing

Answer:
Your right, you are not the only person going through that. My outbreak was mostly in my anal area and it was incredibly painful even though it didn't last as long as yours has. The things that worked for me were to:

1.sleep nude, in fact wear clothes as little as possible to let as much air get to the sores.
2.Use aveeno hydrocortisone cream every danged time I used the restroom.
3.Baby powder on top of the cream (I carried a bag of it in my pocket for awhile)
4. Every time you shower or use the bathroom dry yourself with a hairdryer on cool.
5. Use baby wipes instead of toilet paper
6.Touch the area as little as possible

Your case sounds absolutely horrible mine lasted for around three weeks and I was miserable, my heart goes out to you. I would suggest going back to your doctor because maybe he can do something else to help you.

Maybe, even though I have never tried this you should take laxatives because they will pretty much make your BM's liquid and therefore probably wouldn't tear your skin as much.

I hope some of these suggestions helped, and remember your OB isn't going to last forever!

Answer:
thanks babel I appreciate the advice. I havent tried the cream but I have tried laxatives and they just made me BURN! As for sleeping nude, I got the depo shot 3 months ago bcuz I knew it was supposed to stop my period but instead I have been bleeding almost nonstop since then. It has NOT been fun bcuz I hate to wear tampons and since I wear pads it keeps air from getting to my sores and so I am really swollen down there now. I will be SOO happy when the shot wears off.

Answer:
I was in the exact same situ as you are now. I was under extreme pressure and stress due to a relationship breakup and people making my life a missery.

I constantly had breakout one after the other. I got on the internet and did some research. Found a site that recommended a tablet that you can get from your doctor. Its called FAMVIR and is bl**dy expensive, so they don't like telling you about it. (About ?300 per week is what my doctor told me!!!)

I took the tablets for 3 months. H went away. I was fully expecting it to come back when I stopped taking the tablets, and it did. But since then, the o/b have been slowing down. Go to your doctor and explain how you feel. I had to explain how I felt my life was falling apart and he then gave them to me.

I have been doing more research and found more tablets. Don't know if they work, or where you get them from, but here's the list.

Vir-L-Lysine
Sorivudine
H-Balm
Red Marine Algae.

I hope that this helps.
Let us know how you get on.

Answer:
IMO........the key is to keep the area as dry as possible......try a little cornstarch on the sore.......that always seemed to help relieve my pains in the butt :-)

Good luck.
