Anyone else get bad upper back pain?

Question:
Hi everyone,

I just want to know if anyone has experienced really bad upper back pain, between the shoulders during their OB's? My back feels very hot and when I touch it with my hand it's very sore and the muscle feels inflamed.

I'm on Valtrex 500 mg twice a day for supression but still get major symptoms. Panadol doesn't really do much.

Has anyone experienced this or have any suggestions on how to deal with the pain?

Laney. :(

Hi Laney

I can't admit to bad back pain but in the past two years I've developed extremely uncomfortable leg pain, particularly in my upper thighs (backs) where then follows a scorching outbreak of blisters. It's pretty bad. I have to live with the shooting pains for about a day or two and then the blisters develop. I recently found a website offering an herbal remedy which, after my body seems to have become immune to Valtrex, I am ready to try. It claims to wash the virus away for 2 to 6 months. Since I am at the end of my rope and have nothing to lose, I will put it to the test. I am currently suffering from a huge breakout on the back of my left thigh as well as three huge blisters on my rear end. I have lived with HSV-2 since 1988 and cannot believe it has only gotten worse with time. I feel like it cripples me.

Hi Caligal,

You might want to try a few of these things to minimise the OB's. I'm no expert, but basically I got it so often that I've tried a lot of stuff and been to a lot of specialists.

I've been using the pill right through so that I only get my periods about every 3 months or until spotting. It seems to have helped heaps.

I'm also on Valtrex which seems to help and I drink a lot of water each day. Plus 3 Vitamin C, 2 garlic and 2 magnesium tablets each day. The magnesium is good for muscle aches.

You could also go to a doctor and try to get something for the pain due to the muscle aches. I know how hard it is to socialise and basically be normal when you are experiencing that kind of pain! Explain to them how bad it is and I think you'll be surprised how helpful they will be.

The biggest thing for me as well has simply been refusing to feel guilty or second class for having H. I've realised that anyone can get it and I got it having safe sex.

I hope some of this info helps and I hope your OB's become a thing of the past.

Laney.
