i know what u mean. ive called out the past 2 days. im close to my supervisors and will usually tell them the truth...like flu, hangover etc.....this time i cant.. i just got diagnosed yesterday. this is awful!! i guess since its my first OB i have an exuse... i mean i dont know what to expect really. But this is in me forever now.. so im going ot have to learn to deal

It's even worst for me. I might even lose my job if they find out. And clinics over here don't respect anybody's privacy when it comes to stds.

It is NO ONE'S Business at work whether or not you have herpes...you are not obligated to tell anyone. If you are "sick" then you are sick and they do not need to know what the "illness" is. Sheez, the bags I work with call in all the time, and THEIR illness is usually a hangover....one woman I am sure does drugs and so she is probably recuperating from an evening of THAT.

So while it is a pain in the ass (no pun intended) it is your personal private business. The main thing is to stay positive and calm. Make yourself as comfortable as possible at work. WASH YOUR HANDS, to keep from spreading this stuff. (mostly to other parts of yourself.) And eat good foods. I had a couple of out breaks a while back and I just dealt with it. Tried not to think much about it, took alot of vitamin C, Lysine, and drank lots of water as well as cranberry juice. (although be careful with the cranberries, cuz they can make the ole pee pee more acidic, thus, sting more when you have to go!!)

What sucks is that at my work there is rumored that some guy has it and everyone talks and is like we can get it from the toilet seats and if he touches the key boards. I have learned that people who don't have this just don't understand. I have to sit and shut my mouth and kinda go along with it. They talk about this guy having it, how discusting it is. Geez what would they say about me if they found out I had it.

Thats my worst fear....people talking about me behind my back like Im some walking contamination zone. I dont think I could handle that cuz Im quite sensitive to what people may think of me.

Guess I am lucky the people I work with know (local & Texas Office). There is only three females that work here and 4 restrooms. So I have my own restroom. They know when I don't feel well & usually they just leave me alone or cover for me. When they 1st found out they were planning revenge on my (ex) boyfriend for me. As far as the customers know I am just having problems with my blood pressure or heart valves.

i like this guy at work and i'm sure its a terrible idea to even try anything with him cause if he finds out i have H and he says peace out ... and then he tells people!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg i dont even want to think about it. but it really sucks cause i really really really like him, and he likes me too :-(

I wouldn't be so worried about him telling people at work...I am just totally against dating coworkers. It always seems to end DISTAROUSLY, no matter if you have the herps or not. :wink:
