Question:
I have had an outbreak of what appears to be Type 2 Herpes, because the bumps are identical to the pictures of this site. It has however been 4 weeks now and they show no signs of healing. Is this possible, or could the symptoms be caused by something else?

What could be going on is your so stressed out as far as dealing with this whole thing, you could make it keep triggering, and it never has time to heal, because another outbreak keeps coming. Have you been to a doctor yet? Although the pictures look identical, you still should get a conformation of what it is. Also, doctors can ONLY tell if its herpes while your having an outbreak. Once the outbreak goes away, you could get tested negative, which is because herpes "rest". Get it checked out while the sores are still there, please......
Have you took any medications such as Valrex? I must warn you, Valtrex can be expensive. Mine is $278.00 a month, but with my ins, only $50.00 a month. Thats still about $600.00 a year! Yeah, it is very smart to get it checked out to get a prescription right away. If your embarrased, go to a diff doc, or clinic than you normally go to. In the meantime, eat lots of green veggies, and take care of your body. But trust me, STRESS is a major factor in triggering outbreaks. Also, use a diff washcloth everyday.
