That was a very nice story. Sorry that he did end up contracting. I contracted it via a cold sore on my husbands lip almost 5 years ago, I was 6 mos pregnant with our second son. He doesn't have it genitally either, just very mild orally. Gets a sore maybe twice a year. He was so upset that I had gotten it from him, neither of us knew you could get it that way. Every outbreak that I have, which thank all that is holy are few and far inbetween and mild, he's assholes and elbows appologizing, he feels so bad. But I don't blame him, he didn't do it on purpose. The last thing he was trying to do that night was hurt me. LOL
I've been told that he can't get it genitally because he's already got the antibodies for it from his lifelong lip infection, but we've always questioned that. But all these years and he's yet to get it genitally. I'm not on antivirals of any kind, we have a pretty healthy, active sex life. My husband looks at it the same way as Rusty did, he doesn't WANT to get it but if he does he does..it's not going to change anything.
