How to be the safest?
Question: Okay, So I lost the last guy that I really liked because I wasnt prepared with information on how to be the safest we can. The information I have gotten from multiple sites is that with suppressive drugs and condoms you can have 95% chance of not transmitting the disease to a non H partner.(is that right?) So I have seen bits and pieces on different things (ozonated olive oil, female condoms, saran wrap??) that may provide added protection. My question is I know there are many discordant couples out there. What are you doing to best protect yourselves from asymptomatic transmission?? I would appreciate any ideas out there. Answer: there is alot of things you can do to protect yourselves. Me and my boyfriend have an amazing sexual relationship and the H is almost a non issue. I have choosen not to go on supressive therepy. I rarely have outbreaks and I do not want to take a pill twice a day. the medication can be hard on your kidneys and my immune system does good job keeping the h in check, I don't think I need the supressive therapy and I don't want the virus to become used to the medication and my body to not be as able to fight it naturally. I take a daily multiple vitamin, a product called system well which supports a strong immune system, 1500mgs of lysine with other immune supporting herbs daily. I also blended my own herbal tea which I and my partner drink daily. it has a good quality echinachea, cats claw, olive leaf, and mellissa, which are all good for treating herpes. the best defense is a healthy immune system. eat well, get pleanty of rest and enough exercise. a healthy attitude helps too. I think it is key that my partner is healthy. He takes very good care of himself and that counts the most I think. Also we use condoms every time and keep our selfs clean. good old soap and water. another thing I am trying is coconut oil. You can take it internally or try lauricidin, which is the compound in it that kills the herpes virus. I have heard great things about it. It is available from the manufacturer online. We also use the coconut oil in other ways. It is a great massage oil and also edible. The boyfriend likes it too...hint hint  there are tons of natural remedies, just do you research and do the best that you can, it is really all any of us can do. good luck.
