Here is my story.
I met this amazing guy (amazing!)....and we really hit it off....
we were doing great until my vagina started hurting.
I went to the doc and found out that I have genital hsv1.
It got really complicated w us very quickly.
He then got tested...and the doc told him that he is also infected and that the antibodies are new so that he must have gotten it from me.
We were having sex not knowing what has going on. I did not know!
Since he told me that he is also infected he has stop all comunication w me and will not return my phone call.
Iam really hurt and I am ashamed that I gave it to him.
I dont know what to do.

If you didnt know, you did nothing wrong. Try not to be so hard on yourself. I think most people feel ashamed when they first find out but you will get past that. Your boyfriend probably needs some time to his self right now. Let have time to think about it. If I were you I would use this time to get educated, that way when he does come back around you can ease his worries with the facts. Once you get passed the innitial shock, you will realize that its nothing more than an occational, minor skin discomfort. My boyfriend knew I had HSV1 before we had sex, and he didnt care. He was/is very supportive. I ended up passing it on to him but he still didnt want me to feel guilty about it. He, (like most people), has a sexual history, and feels that he has made several stupid mistakes with women in the heat of the moment, and he could have been a lot worse off than he is now. There are so many terrible diseases/viruses/cancers out there. This is something that you can learn to deal with and life goes on.
