my story.

Question:
Hello all.

this is my story.

I had a risky sexual intercouse about 6 months ago, that led me to several tests for STD (Iincluding 2 tests for hsv2, negative) and to a radical change in lifestyle.

I met a person who has clearly become the love of my life.

I slowly put behind my past, tried to fix the mistakes i made and did everything i could to make sure i wouldn't be hurting my partner if we'd get intimate.

I was diagnosed with a light case of prostatitis a couple of months after my accident, and given antibiotics which didn't clear the problem, since it would come back regularly.
never had any typical HSV symptoms, however, i went and got 2 herpesSelect tests, both came back negative(at week 5 and week 12), along with the other STD tests, besides Trichomonas, which i got treated for.

After getting intimate with my partner, and after previous talks about my sexual habits/STD experiences, i kind of developed the fear of being infected with HSV2, and that my prostatitis is somehow related to this.

I spend a lot of time out for work, and end up surfing the web and reading a lot about this, and it seems like it could be true.
Everybody i confide with about my fears keep on reassuring me i am being paranoid, but i can't stop thinking about the chance of hurting my other half.

Also, even though i know i am going back for another test as soon as possible and to discuss this issue with my urologist again, i am terribly scared of the consequences if i am positive.
I am terrified of the idea of being left alone.
This is the first reltionship i feel it's the right one.
I have been through so many and there has never been this level of understanding and complicity, but i don't know if my partner would be able to accept this, if it happened.

I am looking for some reassurance, or personal experiences, or something to let me get these bad thoughts out of my mind.

They are slowly killing me and i can't help but think about the extreme consequences of a mistake i made a long time ago, that i thought i fixed.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Answer:
no one?

Answer:
Thats great that you changed your lifestyle!! I think we ALL need to do that.I don't mean just people with herpes but everyone.

If you got the test and it came back negative and you haven't had any herpes symptoms then you most likely do not have it.If your really that worried then you can have the bloodtest again and 3 months (I think).

If it turns out that you do have herpes it will suck at times. You will still be able to find love though.
