25 year old male

I just got back my STD test and it said that I was positive for HSV1.

Everyone says this is common and many people have this.

problem is, is that I have had weird symptoms.

for example, on the left side of my groin, I always have an itch and it has a smelly discharge. I dont understand, my doctor says I dont have herpes in the groin area because I am negative for HSV2, but can I have HSV1 and it be in my groin area?

The itch and smell is only from one side of my groin, so I am not sure. I though the STD test would clear this worry up, but now I am even more confused.

anyone have HSV 1 in genital area?


also, I have never gotten a cold sore in my life, so I dont understand how I could have herpes...
