Question:
I was just diagnosed last week with HSV 1&2. The only reason I was tested was b/c I am going into a new relationship & we BOTH thought it would be a good idea to get tested. Long story short, I have come to find out that the previous relationship I was in, the guy was unfaithful, therefore, that's were I got it from. So the new guy has gotten tested, but hasn't gotten his HSV results back yet. I am wondering what he's going to do...stay with me or leave...if he comes back negative. He says that the HSV does not change who I am & that I am a "good catch". :-) I like him very much & could see this being a "forever" relationship. I hope that he will not leave, but I do not blame him if he does & I have told him so. We've been togther for almost 2 months now & have not had sex...obviously. I have given him all the info. I can about HSV, sex, protection, etc., so he's well informed!
So, what I want to know is...what should I expect? Has anyone else had their partner stay in this situation?
