Herpes And Fruit
Question: I have had genital herpes for ten years, and had a few outbreaks a year. Some outbreaks worse than others, for reasons unknown. Over the past year I decided to ease up on my current diet and experiment with eating mostly fruit during the day time and veggies at night. And I don't mean a few bananas and apples hear and there. I mean I was consuming maybe 1,000+ fruit calories a day and balancing out the rest of my diet with veggies and other various things like nuts etc. in small amounts. About a month into this diet I got an outbreak only to be immediately followed by another...and then another... This went on for six months continually...back to back outbreaks. I decided to stop eating fruit temporarily to see what would happen...and voila! NO herpes outbreaks in months! My question is... WHY!? And has anyone else had a similar experience? Answer: what about eliminating the nuts? For some, this is a major trigger for outbreaks. Try not eating those. Certain fruits I believe are high in arginine, which is a trigger for herpes outbreaks as well. Dont take away all the good fruits, but perhaps ease up on certain ones. Your poor body is probably just going haywire. But I would start with the nuts. (oh, nuts!) Good luck and let us know how things go!! Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
