Not sure if I am experiencing an outbreak...

Question:
Hey Guys,

I recently had oral sex from someone who most likely has herpes and I didn't think there was any risk there, but from my research I have found that you can catch herpes this way...

It's been 7 days and today I noticed a few bumps on the underside of my penis.. There are 4-5 really small pink bumps and they are barely noticeable unless you look closely. I am having no pain and they do not itch at all. Could this possibly be the start of a break out? Or might it be something else that I'm just getting paranoid about?

Answer:
yup def could be. > it starts as small pink bumps- do u feel sick at all?

and theres always a risk in anything sexual u do w/ someone who has herpes , there are no exceptions.

Answer:
If they don't have herpes in the mouth you're fine. It's possible it could be the start of an outbreak and just keep an eye on them. If they turn to loosely held together whiteheads then get a swab culture as soon as possible. But, if it doesn't do anything you most likely do not have it but in about 8 weeks go and get a herpes type specific blood test to be sure.

Thanks for your replies...

I don't feel sick at all. Also, they haven't gotten any worse and it looks like they might be going away, but I'm not sure yet. I have been taking 2000mg of vitamin C every day to help boost my immune system, so that might be helping out with this. Does it sound normal of herpes to appear with a few pink dots and then start going away with no pain, itching, or any of the other typical symptoms? Do you guys know of anything else this could be?

-John Dear John (Excellent book, btw)
Why would you think this person most likely has herpes? Did they show signs, did they test positive?
