Question:
Since I started to have OB's, I have one blister in the exact same spot each time.

Granted, all the medical pictures you see are always "extreme" cases, but I'm wondering if this is normal.

Has anyone had only a single blister, and did it lead to more blisters?

I've read about Chaphor, and it sounds like if you suppress the virus in one spot, it might spread to another. I'd rather deal with one spot than multiple places.

I'm currently starting my third outbreak since I contracted HSV in April and it's been in the same spot each time. It kinda looks like a few blisters in one bigger one so it essentially looks like just one blister. Although my first two were about the same in terms on intensity this one seems A LOT more mild unless it just hasn't reached it's height yet. With the others it felt weird to walk but with this one so far it only hurt when it gets touched. But yea, it's common to have your outbreaks in the same place for the most part. I think it's just how you were exposed to the virus is the main factor in how your recurrances will be.

Another weird aspect is my first OB was mild, while the rest have been a lot worse than the first.

Oddly enough, the blister is the only symptom I have. I haven't experienced any of the nausea, swollen glands, fever, muscle aches, lower back pain, or painful/restricted urination. Then again, my first "test" came up negative, mostly due to the blister being healed by the time I went into the MD. Although I'm fairly certain I've got H, there's nothing offical yet.

My first was small and then my second started out small (same spot)but then like 3 tiny ones came up beside the original one which resulted in that one being 3 times worst than the first so i guess even though most of the literature on this virus says that the first is always the worst, everyone is different.

I havnt had another outbreak since my second one in late october and i think that was a result of drinking too much caffeine.

HSV pretty much acts on it's own accord and no one really knows what it triggers. Try not to go and totally change your lifestyle, it's not neccessary. If you're really paranoid about it just eat somewhat healthy enough that you're able to keep your immune system up.

my 1st ob, i had 2 spots at the bottom of my penis. my 2nd was far worse.... i counted 12 of various sizes, it was horribal. i now get ob's every 6 weeks, but they r never in the same spot, sometimes they r on the shaft of my penis, sometimes on the helmet. since my 2nd ob..... it hasnt been as severve, i will get 1 or 2 every 6 weeks, and coldsores on my lips every 2-3.

i have been tested twice, and my results r negative, i have most of the other symptohms. so i diagnosed my self, cos docters these days havnt got a clue, or they are living in denial


i refuse to pump my body full of synthetic drugs bcos they r often the cause of illness. i really dont no where to start with the herbal remedys, there r so many, all which claim "this 1 really works, forget the others"


my attitude 2wards life has changed, i used to b happy, joyfull. now im just miserable and depressed
