Question:
Sorry...potentially gross material ahead.

I know I have herpes but I have a hard time distinguishing sometimes between outbreaks and ingrown hairs (besides the obvious question of a hair being present...they're not always visible).

I've had a bump for 2 weeks now that hasn't gone away. First it had yellow-ish white pus and then it's filled up with blood twice. It hasn't become a blister or anything. There aren't any of the "usual" herpes symptoms, it's in a different place than I normally get them (though i've only had 3 outbreaks i've been aware of in 3 years). It looks more like a pimple than a sore. But there's no hair and it hurts more than i'm used to with ingrown hairs.

So...is blood something anyone else has ever esperienced as part of an ob or should I assume this is something else?

blood, usually if u have a bump, and its in a area, you shave.
its prob either a boil, or a staph infection. and boils can take awhile to go away completly.
is it a rather large bump, where it feels like theres more "under the skin"?
