Hi, New here with question.
Question: My girlfriend has just had an outbreak after 10 years in December. Protected sex is still painful for her after about a month. I cannot see anything down there that is not normal, but there is dried blood strands even though it is not her period. Can anyone comment on what she should do to make the pain go away during sex. She has taken 10 valtrex around the time of her outbreak and she takes Lysine and Immune vitamins everyday. She also has a bottle of chorophor, but she says it cannot be applied if there is no signs of an outbreak. If there is a stinging sensation if she applies it to her vagina does that mean it is attacking an outbreak? Any input is appreciated. Thanks. Answer: chorophor is only used when she is having a ob, thats the only way it will work, and thats what its supposed to do> attack the virus so it goes back to ur nerves as less... so the next time u have one it wont be as bad. SO if she used it w/o a outbreak,,, it would be pretty useless. dried blood strands? inside/out? pain> it will stop hurting when the ob is completly healed. its very possible that she still has some internal sores, thats why it still hurts to have sex. just keep taking the meds, and try again in a few days.. eventually it might take a week or 2 or even more, but eventually u can have sex again w/o the pain.
