hi, i'm a male in my early twenties. i contracted herpes while wearing a condom, so my blisters appear on my groin/pelvis/lower abdomen near the base of my penis where the condom does not cover. anyone else have their outbreaks there? i've had three outbreaks - once every month, and i get multiple blisters in a localized area. i've heard that herpes gets better over time, because our immune system gets better. is this true? i'm hoping that with time, i won't get outbreaks anymore. whenever i get an outbreak i get physically sick (flu-like systems) and emotionally depressed. when they've completely healed (about 2 weeks time), i don't feel that depressed anymore. i don't know what triggers my outbreaks. i don't think it's stress related. mine could be due to diet (high arginine, low lysine).

Well I am 31 and have had it since I was 16..
my 1st one was the worst...but they've never been that bad since.

BUt I can't say they lower in recurrance...I could still get 2 or 3 at a time. Mine are little cuts, not blisters and neither are my husbands.

Yes he gets them in his hair around the base of his penis, his nut area, on his penis, even around his anus opening (which caution..DOES happen..) that sure isn't fun!

But yes eventually you'll get them more places. it just happens. I don't get sick feeling when I have an o/b...
and nothing in particular brings mine..they just come like every 2-3 mths.
