Anyone out there with HSV genitally get bikini waxes/brazillians? I am considering but am wondering if the skin trauma from waxing will trigger an outbreak. I do not get frequent outbreaks and am on suppressive Valtrex already to protect my boyfriend. Any waxers out there?

Before I was diagnosed (january) and between my last sexual encouter (last summer) I was routinely getting a brazilian wax and never once had an outbreak.

But on the same topic...my waxing lady didn't use gloves. Is there a way I can give it to her? Should I tell her about my condition? Since I was diagnosed I have not gotten waxed. Also, she washed her hands religiously.

yea you should tell her, cause i read a article that says the virus can survive in the wax, so it would just be 1 big pool of herpes getting slathered on people.
