Hi everyone,I recently had my first out-break two weeks ago most certinly gh hsv-1.everything seemed clered up and then i had sex for the first time and during i felt a little rip were a had a cut like sore during my outbreak.In the morning i checked and sure enough it appered as it did befor asmall cut with asmall amount of blood at the surface.Other than that no other sores.So i guess what i am asking is this an outbreak?Is it safe to have sex with my man who gave it to me from his oral hsv.

and no its not, he has oral, if you arent using protection you can give him genital to.

waxed wrong i just had that little cut and the other sores wre ulcers in a different spot .I was also told by doc i would not pass it back to him down there since hh infected me.

he infected you- you can infect him.

he has oral, not genital -his genitals are totally at risk. ESPECIALLY if you are doing it unprotected during a ob.

sure his immune system already has antibodies from oral, but it is VERY possible to get re infected... you doctor is wrong.

Yes, he's at risk, although I've come across lots of advice that says because he already has it orally, he'll be less likely to get it genitally.

Also, if there's a silver lining, it's that GH HSV-1 is supposed to have less outbreaks down there.

My advice though, get on antivirals and use condoms to prevent infecting him. Getting it sucks.

why is this such a conflicting issue i have been told by my doc and a nurse that it is not likely that i would re-infect him since he has had this since he was a child. But answers to my post tell me it is very possible.the more i am told the more i get confused.:roll:
