Question:
Does anybody have anything good to share about their OB's? I have not experienced an OB yet, just some mild irritation but I am reading about all these horrific episodes people have. I'm wondering if that is what I can expect down the line. Is there anyone that maybe hasnt had OB's that are diagnosed with HSV. Or at least have them but they are mild? I am counting my blessing now that I dont have a horror story to tell, but Im making myself stressed thinking about whats to come.

Someone tell me something positive if ya got it. I would greatly appreciate it.

well... i've had pretty much constant outbreaks since october.

but none of them have been terrible. the first three were reeeally ugly, but small and in the corners of my mouth, where i could hide them by smiling! :) hahaha... it's true!

the last few outbreaks have been really small. no blisters, minimal swelling, just small lesions that looked like cuts. i think this is because i bought some topical antiviral ointment called zovirax (which also comes in pill form for treating genital hsv.) and i applied it when the place where i usually get sores turned red again.

um now though one has spread to my upper lip. i gotta admit i'm terrified because of the pictures i've seen on the internet of sores on upper lips! but it's very, very small. you can see a little bit of discolouring on my lip, but there's just a tiny red spot just above my lip. it hasn't blistered. it's about the size of a pinhead.

so i guess i lucked out there. (knocks on wood)

from what you're saying, it sounds like you're going to be one of the lucky ones who hardly ever has outbreaks. in fact, you might not have outbreaks. some people don't. then again, i'm no fortune teller!
