either way, if you both have it then you should use protection for oral sex for both of you so you dont get it in your mouths as well. If you already have it in your mouths as well then it is still a good idea to use condoms because then the number of outbreaks you could pass back and forth will be reduced. Its your decision though...but definitely to avoid getting it orally then condoms or dental dams are the only way to lessen the risk of contracting it orally when performing oral sex on one another.
