I was diagnosed with HSV2 on April 13th. A couple of months ago I was dating this guy for like a month, but we had talked online for over a year so we pretty much knew everything about each other so it was not awkward on our first date. We really get along well, but we quit seeing each other, because of some minor issues. It was weird really. Anyways, I had a one-night-stand with another guy like a month after being with this guy (which is not like me, but that's besides the point)... and boom 4 days later I knew what I had. Sure enough... just the other day we started talking as friend's again and he was like... "I am still attracted to you. We should hang out and try to get to know each other better.." I was like omg here we go. First time disclosing, but I trust him. He was really upset, but I went over and hung out with him just as friend's. We were drinking and he cooked me dinner and everything like he used to. He couldn't help but sit close and like put his hand on my leg. It was like he was sweeter than ever.... and we have so much chemistry. Well, I ended up emailing him and telling him how much fun I had and that I did still like him. Well, I know he would never go for it, which is fine because eventually someone will. I like to google my dates AIM names and such just to see what pops up. Well, I knew he had a date.com profile or whatever.... and sure enough I looked and he was active within 24 hours. It makes me just that much more mad at the person that gave it to me (supposedly he didn't know...but whatever). What a weird feeling. Oh well, life goes on. At least we will still be good friends. Who knows, maybe he is one of the people who doesn't know he has it.

One more thing. It has been 2 weeks and 2 days since my diagnosis... and if anyone newly diagnosed is reading this. I PROMISE you it will get better. I am on Acyclovir for suppression and haven't really been that upset in a few days. I never thought that I would feel better emotionally :) Sorry this is so long, I just had to get this off my chest.
