New Boyfriend...New problem

Question:
I have genital herpes. I just found this out. I also have a new boyfriend (he does not have herpes). I know I need to tell him but I don't know how/when to tell him. I'm falling in love with him and don't know how to approach the situation as to get the most desired results. I know that everyone reacts differently, but I really need some advice. Help!

Answer:
just get it out there, as soon as you can. i know it seems REALLY hard, and scary, but it literaly takes a few seconds. and once thats over- relief (like pulling off a bandaid)

and tell him asap- you dont want to really fall in there deep, and then find out he now doesnt want to be with you, so having the talk now, will help you guys figure out where to go from there.

you can just bring up being sick, then ask if he ever had anything seriously wrong with him, then say oh well... i just found out....... and go from there...
good luck

Answer:
Telling someone is as easy as just saying the words. "I have herpes" There is no perfect time or situation you just have to say it.

I'd hate to fall in love and have him reject me when I told him. So my way would be to say it sooner rather than later. You don't want to wait until he's making a move on you or you might chicken out in the heat of the moment and regret it.

When I found out I was positive for hsv. I was devastated but the first thing I did was call my bf and let him know. At first we both cried and he expressed his fears of getting it but assured me that he loved me.. Then he told me that we could never have sex again but in less than a week he called me back and begged me to find a way for us to work this out.

Answer:
i too just last week told my boyfriend. I told him the same day i found out. I knew i had to do it. It was one of the hardest things to do. Give him some time to think about it don't bombard him with too much at once. He will come around..i'm sure he is a great guy who will work with you. My boyfriend is being really sweet, we haven't discussed all the details but he is researching himself and educating ...

Good Luck!!!
