how do you know you have hsv2 oral? did you get tested? I've got nasty coldsores on my lip and i've just assumed its hsv1 since I had my first ob before any sexual contact.

Yeah, as soon as I saw it I knew what it was. went to the clinic, they took a swab sample...a week later, I got results.....said it was a HSV-2 lesion on my lip......bloodwork came back negative for HSV-2 though, meaning it was brand new infection and that i have had no time to develop antibodies........Oh, and I have HSv-1 also.....never had any symptoms. never knew I had it, but according to bloodwork, I've had it for a long time.....my ex-husband would get cold sores.didn't know it was herpes then...i suppose i got it from him...the oral hsv-2, got it on a bad night a few weeks ago.....and the sex wasnt even good......Me and my stupid decisions....
