HSV2 can you spread it...
Question: ok, i have hsv2 and gave my boyfriend oral, but this was before he even thought about entering into me. i'm not sure if he has it. but he knows that i have it. well thing is at the time when i gave him the oral, he had what looked like 2 dry spots (this is like 4 days ago...(the oral)), i'm freaking out b/c i'm thinking i know have spread it to my mouth. could i have? my throart is slightly irritated, but i also have acid reflux and have been stressing really bad, and when i do, it physical symptoms come along with it. no bumps or nothing back there, but i can't see down my esphogas.. Answer: anyone have a comment or suggestion, plz Answer: acid reflux can be very damaging to the esophagus and can cause a sore throat. I hope that you are seeing a dr about this as it can become problematic in more than just causing discomfort. you were very brief in your description and I have questions that relate. Is this a new bf? Do you know if he has hsv genitally or orally? Do you have hsv2 orally or just genitally as both hsv1 and hsv2 can be infections of the mouth or the genitals. he could have dry spots or irritation from various sources that might not be from hsv. such as friction from masterbation, other std's etc. I am surprised that although you have disclosed your std status to him you have not asked him about his. I recommend that you firmly request him to be tested for all std's for both of your sake. If he has not been tested you are taking an unnecessary risk with your health. There are worse things that can be transmitted than hsv. Answer: this bf isn't new, and i'm sure he has caught what i have which is hsv2 (genital) not oral (at all). whoa didn't know hsv1 could be on the genitals too. and we both have been tested for other std's and are good, don't have nothing else. Answer: mulatta - so it sounds like your bf has not been tested for hsv. are you assuming that because you have it that he also has it? How do you know that neither of you has it orally? if he has hsv genitally and you give him oral sex you can infect yourself orally. If you have hsv genitally and he performs oral sex on you he can get it orally. This is the same as someone who has an oral hsv infection can give it to someone in their genitals by performing oral sex on them. The viruses are interchangeable and can be transmitted to both locations by either oral or genital sex. Answer: no, he hasn't been tested for hsv. i know i don't have it orally, been tested. ah see yup that's what i was wondering, if he has it genitally then if i was go go down on him, then i know now that i could spread it back to myself orally. thanks for replying Answer: i am confused. i am hsv2 positive and i have posted this question on another site and maybe this site. i was told that if my partner performed oral sex on my that the risk is negligable of him getting hsv2 in his mouth. that the mouth does not like hsv2. and if it happend he would probably outbreak once and never again. we have not gone there or anywhere other then kissing, and other fooling around that does not include intercourse or oral sex for me. not sure we are going to either. i know that there is much info out there and not sure what is right or wrong or more correct. i also talked with someone who has had hsv herpers for 29 years and she never heard of anyone getting hsv2 thru oral sex this is hsv2 in the mouth. more info or input :-? would be appreciated. Answer: I know people who have hsv 2 orally. More than a couple of people actually. Location will effect the frequency and severity of ob's if the virus is not in it's preferred location but this will not prevent infections from happening. Here is a link to information on the two simplex viruses from a reliable source. I want to add that hsv is becoming a silent epidemic with many cases of misinformation being presented to the public and often from well meaning members of the medical profession. This is happening because more people are engaging in oral sex practices and both hsv strains can infect in either the mouth or genital areas. Many people who are infected do not know they are infected and do not know how or where to get tested. If even one person can get hsv 2 orally then it serves as a warning to all of us that we are at risk of this as well. Answer: thank you sooo much. i agree i will not be with someone without disclosing what i have. again could not live with that. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
