How often do you get flu-like symptoms because of hsv? Run down feelings, nausea, headaches, fever, lack of energy, etc..?

Answer:
In the beginning, I had fever, lack of energy, headaches and other pains very frequently. Lately, the pains have decreased tremendously; however, they reoccur from time to time. Right now, I have a headache and I had back pain last week, but it has gone away. The symptoms that I have experienced throughout my ordeal with hsv2 are:

1. Headache
2. Backache
3. Upset stomach
4. Tingling in legs/arms/vagina
5. Pressure in groin/vaginal area
6. Buttocks pain
7. Vaginal irritation
8. Vaginal discharge
9. Fever
10. General sick feeling

I've had some of those symptoms periodically.

One time I had all of those symptoms together for the mother of all ob's but it also included blisters but they never ruptured or scabbed they just got smaller and went away. I felt like my vagina was on fire. Truly I'd rather give birth again, without pain meds, than go through a repeat of it.

usually I get a headache and some itching or pinching sensations in my genital area.

once in a while it is accompanied by back pain and lately a strange red painful line up my butt crack.

It is funny that you mentioned a strange red line on your butt. I too had a red line located in the same spot. At the time, I did not think that it would be herpes. Actually, there are a lot of things that has happened to me that I did not connect to herpes, but as I look back on the situation, I realize that it was herpes all along.
