I have HSV 2 (genital), I dont have any OB's (thank God). My partner knows that I have HSV and he so cool about it. We have been intimate, and we used protection, along with me taking Valtrex 500mg daily, and Lysine 1000mg daily. Can I perform oral sex on him? I have HSV, he doesnt, but I was thinking even though we used a condom, could I get HSV 1 from doing this to him, since he had sex with me and Im infected with the virus.

It sounds like you have done everything you can to reduce the chances of spreading the virus, But I don't think there is any way of eliminating the risk altogether.

if you have HSV type 2 genitally, then if you were to happen to transmit the virus to his genitals and then contract it by giving him oral sex then you would get HSV 2 in your mouth. You only have type 2 and therefore TYPE 2 would be spread. You cant give someone a strain of the virus you dont have, or contract a different strain of the virus (via yourself) if you only have one type to begin with. It is not type 2= genital herpes and type1= oral herpes.......both viruses can infect either region...so you would not be getting type 1 in the mouth if you were to contract it via the scenario you mentioned....it would still be type 2 in another location. That said.....there will always be a risk but the risk of you getting it in your mouth as result of giving to him and then retransferring it your mouth is lower but still can happen. I am paranoid to perform oral sex on my boyfriend because while I have it genitally I DO NOT want it in my mouth as well. It definitely puts a damper on our sex life (or lack of should I say) Best of luck to you guys :)
