genital herpes and oral herpes
Question: i think i may have contracted genital herpes but would it not make sense that i should also have infection/symptoms on my lips if i also had oral sex with the guy? the reason i think i may have herpes is that 2 days after i was with this guy i began to feel a warm feeling in my genital area. It's not itchy, it seems a little red but there are no other symptoms. It's now been 6 days with these exact same symptoms. Think it may be herpes? and if so how long would it take for blister/sores to develop after first symptom of burning? oh ya one more thing (i'm so sorry for so many questions) if i never develop blisters can i still be tested for herpes? i went to see my doctor she took a look and said "i doubt it's anything but it does seem a bit red, if things change let me know" doctors! *rolling eyes thanks. needless to say i'm really concerned Answer: It sounds like it could be, but maybe its just irritation from the sex. To answer your other question, contact time also may have something to do with you not having it on lips and mouth. Also, saliva may have moved it around enough for it not to effectively take hold. If you were recently infected, (ie last week or so) it would not show up on a blood test. It takes 3-4 months for enough antibodies in your system to show up on a test. The other test is a swab could be taken if a blister or open sore develops and test that for the herpes itself. Hopefully its nothing. :) Doctors are ignorant on how much this virus has mutated. It doesnt show up in everyone with blisters like the textbook tells them it does. Unfortunately reeducation with them will not take place anytime soon. I hope I helped. Good Luck. I would recommend spraying the area with hydrogen peroxide and see what happens. Check some other posts here for that whole procedure. Answer: not to be graphic but i spent most of my time giving him head. we didn't have intercourse Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
